I happened to research on the history behind the Chinese New Year. The chinese mythology, associates each year in the 12-year cycle to a animal. This year it is the rat year.
According to their astrological calculations, people born in the year 1984, belong to the elementary sign - Rat. "It is an animal associated with aggression, wealth, charm, and order" - says Wiki.
I was born '84. That was when this thought struck, all my friends would also be born around the same year. So all of us belong to the honourable - Class of Rats. Doesn't it justify the Rat race, we've been taking part for in so many years. Every step, every year, has been a rat race, one rat trying to beat the other in order to get ahead.
